Owning the product changes the advice
When a consultancy has no product, every problem looks like a configuration exercise. When a vendor has only a product, every problem looks like a licence. We sit in both positions, which means we can tell you when our own software is the wrong answer — and we do.
It also means the people advising you have had to operate what they recommend: the migrations, the go-live weekends, the support calls at month-end.
